Overheat.exe

Overheat.exe is an FPS project that uses standard first-person elements as a wrapper for a technical stress test. The game features:

• first-person camera movement and control,
• interactive doors,
• audio atmosphere,
• system monitoring panel.

But the real essence of the game is not the exploration of premises, but the artificial overload of the CPU, RAM and video processing.

In Overheat.exe you find yourself inside an interactive “test field” where:

• the processor continuously performs heavy calculations,
• the RAM is filled with large arrays,
• objects appear every frame,
• textures are generated and stored in memory,
• the system measures the load and shows the status in real time.

This is a game that intentionally forces the PC to “work at the limit”. It is created for those who want to see how the system will degrade under load.

What happens in the game

• CPULoader loads the processor and performs tens of thousands of mathematical operations each frame.
• DataLeak allocates large amounts of memory every second without cleaning them up.
• RAMSpawner constantly creates new objects, accumulating them in a list.
• TextureLeak generates new textures and stores them in memory.
• SystemCollapseCore monitors CPU, RAM, FPS and displays a status bar.
• SimpleAI provides additional movement of objects, which also adds load.

Gameplay

Overheat.exe is no longer “gameplay,” but an experience:

• FPS space exploration,
• opening doors,
• observing falling FPS,
• reading the system text panel,
• you see the computer “crash”.

The game doesn't offer classic game objectives. Your task is to stay in the system as long as possible until resources reach critical levels.

• F1 — Panic Mode
• Escape — exiting the game
